Kakinada College of Education (K.C.E) was established in 2007 and located in 2-178, Savrodaya Nagar, valasapakala, Kakinada-5. It is Governed and Managed by Sarvodaya Educational Society, Kakinada and recognized by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) and affiliated to Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU), Rajahmundry.
Sarvodaya Educational Society was established in 1982 under the dynamic Leadership of Sri. Narayan Das Mankhani as Secretary and Dr. DV.Rama Rao as Joint-Secretary & Treasurer. The Executive Committee of Savrodaya Educational Society comprises of The District Collector, East Godavari as President (Ex-officio), Ln. L.Krishna Murthy, M.A., Lions Club International past District Governor & Present Lions-Multiple Council Secretary, Dist- 316 as Vice- President, Sri. R.K. Viswanadha Rao as secretary, Sri D.V.Satyanarayana Murthy as joint-secretary & Treasurer and many other eminent personalities as members from Kakinada including Educationists, Doctors, Engineers & Lawyers.
The first batch of the Kakinada College of Education started from the academic year 2007-08 in the existed building of Savrodaya Educational Society, Valasapakala, Kakinada. The College of Education (B.Ed.) runs in full strength with more number of girl students. The other institution run by the Society is KAKINADA PUBLIC SCHOOL (KPS) which is a 39 years old, CBSE English medium School.
During the last ten years the college has grown phenomenally in all aspects like Buildings, well equipped Laboratories, good Library, Huge Play Ground & Parking and purified drinking water etc. The college is functioning as per NCTE norms and standards with fully qualified and experienced staff.
As a result of dedicated efforts of the Management and Staff the average percentage of results every year is above 90% with good number of first classes.
Education is man making and character building. We believe that, our institution would live up to this expectation.
